Our Attorney
Demetrius T. Abraham
I have been practicing law since 2012 and am admitted to practice in the Southern District of Georgia, the Georgia Court of Appeals, and the Supreme Court of Georgia. My approach is simple: every client is unique, and every case deserves individualized attention. I take the time to listen, understand the full picture, and build a strategy tailored to your specific goals. You will never be treated like just another case file.
My path to the legal field began early. With a background in Political Science and a lifelong commitment to speaking up when things aren’t right, I pursued my law degree at Thomas M. Cooley School of Law in Lansing, Michigan. Inspired by the legacies of Thurgood Marshall and Johnny Cochran, I admired how they used the law to improve society and give a voice to those who needed one. During my externship with the Richmond County Public Defender’s Office, I gained extensive courtroom experience, representing more than 70 clients and handling both bench and jury trial matters before graduation.
Since becoming licensed, I have represented clients across multiple counties in Georgia, managing criminal cases from serious felonies to misdemeanors and deciding whether each matter is best resolved at trial or through negotiation. Over time, I expanded my practice to include family law, personal injury, and probate matters, and became a certified mediator in the Augusta Circuit to provide clients with alternative dispute resolution options. Today, I continue to focus on criminal defense, family law, and probate and estate planning—areas I truly enjoy because they allow me to help clients protect their families and plan for the future with confidence.
